SLPA will be offering Classes for ages:
Sparkling Lights Drama/Acting 5-7yrs
Time: 10;15am - 10:50am
Flashlights Drama/Acting 7-14yrs
Time ; 3pm - 4pm
Spotlights Drama/Acting 15+yrs

Drama/Acting Classes Content
Here you will find details of the different techniques our children and young people will explore within the acting/drama course at SLPA
Hot Seating
Hot seating is an important technique to learn in drama as it teaches you about forming and creating a character.
During Hot Seating a character is questioned by the group about his/her background, behaviour and motivation.
Still Images or Tableaux
In a Tableaux participants make still images with their bodies to represent a scene.
Thought Tracking
Thought tracking is a technique in Drama that focuses on a way to speak a loud the thoughts or feelings of a character within a freeze frame.
Masks
SLPA will be exploring the use of masks within theatre. Children will learn how to use the masks correctly, what emotions can be explored, narration through mask, how masks have been used in theatre throughout the years and performing short pieces using masks.
