This agreement sets out the terms governing the relationship between you and us.
We reserve the right to make changes to these terms and will communicate any change to you at the address or email specified by you. Proof of sending such notice shall be sufficient evidence of receipt. You may cancel this agreement in accordance with the TERMINATION terms detailed below.
LOCKDOWN/ISOLATION: Whilst we are adhering to all Government guidance regarding COVID-19, you accept any possible transmission risk entailed with sending your child to classes with Us.
Your Information: We will use the personal information you provide to us to provide the tuition; process your payments for such tuition and membership; and to inform you about similar products or services that SLPA will be providing, BUT you may stop receiving these t any time by contacting us. We will never provide your personal details to any third party.
Our Taster Package: All new students can attend a taster package before joining. The cost of this varies according to the activity and/or age of the student.
Classes: Class timetables and teachers will be subject to change from time to time without notice. A teacher may, at any time, ask your child to leave a class if they are jeopardising the safety or enjoyment of others or their educational experience. You shall ensure that your child complies with the instructions of the teacher.
Behaviour: Bullying, harassment, abuse or other inappropriate behaviour by you or your child, at any time, is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate expulsion by us from the academy and we reserve the right to take such other legal action as may be appropriate. Here at Shining Lights Performing Arts we to equality very serious and believe that every child has the right to Shine their brightest and express themselves through Performance.
Term and Termination of SLPA Membership: All members of Shining Lights Performing Arts Academy hold the right to terminate their membership if they have chosen that SLPA is not for them.
The minimum enrolment period for each student is 2 months which begins automatically at the end of their TASTER COURSE. After that 2 month period, one full calendar month's notice is required for termination of membership and can be given by email to: info@shininglightsperformingartsacademy.com. The time of receipt of this email shall be the time of commencement of the notice period. No refunds will be given for part month. Just to ensure clarity, if notice is received on 15th September will result in your membership being terminated on 31st October. If by any circumstances there is a problem with tuition please contact us as soon as possible and give us a reasonable opportunity to sort the problem. You may terminate this agreement at any time if you are not happy at SLPA.
Terms of Payment:
Shining Lights Performing Arts Academy offers a free taster course fo all new students wishing to join. On completion of the taster course Payment for SLPA will therefore be required on a monthly basis
Payment via Direct Debit for all SLPA fees is mandatory. The price for each class/student is set out on our website and the amount will be set out on the invoice which shall be paid monthly on the first day of each month.
Price increases will occur no more than once annually - 1 month's notice of any price increase will be given by us in advance. In the event that you do not make the tuition fee payments when due, Interest is payable on any sums not paid when due at the rate of 3% p.a. above the base lending rate of the RBS Bank Plc calculated daily.
The academic year is Brocken down into 36 weeks of tuition with the average of 12 weeks tuition per term. This is in turn divided into 12 equal payments regardless of the number of sessions taking place each calendar month. On initial registration the first monthly payment will be required upfront.
SLPA Holiday Club terms and conditions:
SLPA do offer a Holiday club over Half Terms and Main School Holiday's.
This holiday club is a separate to normal class fees/memberships and is offered to members and non- members around the New Forest and local areas.
At SLPA we pride ourselves on a high level of Child Care. To ensure a high level of care to children and young people we do have separate terms and conditions of use.
- Booking is essential and entry will not be given to unbooked pupils.
- If you wish to cancel your booking please do so via our contact details and if applicable we will issue a full/partial refund depending on the situation. (SLPA has the right to decline a full refund if cancellation is not given appropriate times)
- We do require a minimum of 48 hours notice to issue a full refund. If we do not receive the 48 hours notice we do reserve the right to decline refunds.
- If your child/children do not attend due to COVID-19 positive PCR test we will issue a full refund on proof of Positive test result.
- If there is any unforeseen circumstances that result in your child/children's not attending the day/s booked into the club. We will discuss with parent regarding this matter and deal with accordingly.
Promotion:
We reserve the right to use any individual or group photographs or movie shots of your nominated child for promotional purposes, this includes social media platforms, If you do not want your child to appear in such publicity, please indicate at the time of registration. All intellectual property rights, design rights nnd image rights in these photographs or film shots will belong to Shining Lights Performing Arts Academy.
